Damien Stile is the Chairman of Alba Wheels Up International and a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience. A Bentley and Babson alum, he has also completed executive education at Harvard Business School. Beyond business, he is a dedicated family man, avid traveler, and active supporter of Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. As a serial entrepreneur, Damien will share the hardships and triumphs of growing a company to over 400 employees, offering valuable insights for your own entrepreneurial journey. Thanks to our generous donors and support from the entire Bentley Community, Bentley’s first-ever E-Hub Incubator has been a journey of resilience, creativity, and bold thinking. Despite all the pressure, our student teams pitched their startups to alumni judges last Thursday, Feb 6. Winners & $10K Seed Fund Recipients: AldaLife (Joe Rizzo, William Schulhof, Justin Jin) – AI-powered digital replicas for legacy preservation RightRun (Ryan Ogren, Paige Trager, Kyle Martin, Zoey Sandberg) – Personalized running route app These teams spent months refining business models, developing MVPs, and gathering customer feedback—fighting in a high-stakes pitch that earned them funding. The E-Hub Journey: Phase 1 (Sept ’24) – 30 teams pitched, $1K seed funds Phase 2 (Nov ’24) – 17 teams pitched, $3K seed funds Phase 3 (Feb ’25) – 7 teams pitched, $10K seed funds Bentley students aren’t just preparing for jobs—they’re creating them. As we conclude the incredible year of 2024, we celebrate not only another year of growth and achievement but also the wealth of entrepreneurial insights gathered along the way. This year, the Bentley E-Hub sincerely appreciates the support from all the Bentley community members involved, and we love to see all the entrepreneurial minds emerging on our campus.? In 2024, the E-Hub ventured into uncharted territories, launching initiatives like our Incubator Program, the Living Learning Community, and transformative mentorship programs, including our coaching sessions and alumni networks. These programs have become cornerstones of our mission to cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs. Our Incubator program garners aspiring entrepreneurs pitch groundbreaking ideas to esteemed professors and accomplished judges, receiving mentorship and financial support. This year, we welcomed over 20 teams and various distinguished judges, all with impressive professional credentials. Our living-learning community has been a place where creativity thrives. Students collaborate on community-defining ideas, heavily supported by alumni networking opportunities and an environment designed to nurture entrepreneurial ambitions. Our coaching sessions this year welcomed numerous successful alumni and mentors who shared invaluable insights and lessons from their entrepreneurial journeys. Their contributions have left a lasting impact on students, fostering resilience, creativity, and resourcefulness. We eagerly look forward to the grand finale of the Entrepreneurship Hub Incubator Program: the Final Pitch Presentation (Round 3). This event showcases the most promising ideas and visionary entrepreneurs as they compete for the top two spots. It's a true celebration of innovation, determination, and brilliance. Bentley’s First Incubator Program Phase One Starts This Friday On Sept 20! Are you passionate about entrepreneurship? The Bentley E-Hub Incubator Program is the perfect opportunity to turn your ideas into reality. Designed to support student teams, this year-long, cohort-based program provides the resources, mentorship, and seed funding necessary to develop and refine high-potential startup ventures. There is still time to register if you have an idea, or we’d love you to engage in this event as an audience! Pitch Presentation: ? Date: Friday, September 20, 2024 ? Time: Starts at 5:30 PM? ? Location: LaCava 325AB ? Results Announced: September 23, 2024 The program is open to the entire Bentley community (undergrad, grad, recent alumni less than 5 years out, faculty & staff). Some teams also have members from other universities such as Babson and Cornell. And some even have friends and family members as their team members. There are also some teams with recent alumni.
