Ballerina was developed in 2016 by WSO2 as a code-based alternative to configuration-based integration tools such as EAI, ESB, and workflow products. Ballerina Swan Lake was first released in February 2022. It has various constructs geared toward cloud-native development including support for modern data formats and protocols, reliability, distributed transactions, APIs, and event streams.

?? Excited to share my latest development – web3 – a CLI tool for Ballerina! This tool can automatically generate a Ballerina connector from any given smart contract. It simplifies integrating Ethereum smart contracts into Ballerina applications. It works like the Ballerina Open API tool. ?? I believe with the built in features such as concurrency, Ballerina would be an ideal language for Blockchain related integrations. In addition to calling contract methods, it supports standard chain functionalities such as fetching accounts, check block hashes etc. Since Ballerina did not support Keccak-256 hashing which is essential for crypto, I made a contribution to the official Crypto library first. TBH, generating a Ballerina code from Java wasn't an easy task for me. I had to understand how Ballerina Syntax Tree API works. In some cases the Solidity smart contract contains Ballerina keywords as their identifiers. Then, we have to do some sanitization before generate the code. Also, we need to dynamically generate remote functions based on Smart contract ABI. ?? Technologies Used: Java Ballerina Ballerina Syntax Tree API Solidity Ganache Pico CLI ?? The ballerinax/hubspot.crm.associations connector provides a seamless interface to the HubSpot Association Details API, simplifying the management of relationships between HubSpot CRM entities. With Ballerina’s intuitive syntax and built-in networking capabilities, integrating association functionalities into applications is now easier than ever! ? Key Features: ?? Create associations between two records—either as individual pairs or in bulk ?? Label associations for better categorization and organization ?? Retrieve associations for a specific record and its linked objects ?? Remove associations selectively by label or in bulk between two records ?? I'm excited to share that I have successfully completed the internship onboarding project at WSO2! As part of my internship, I was responsible for building and publishing a ?????????????????? ?????????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????????????????? ???????????? ?????? within the first three weeks. This connector is now successfully completed and published on Ballerina Central. Additionally, I have written a guide blog post on Medium to provide insights into its usage! With this connector, users can create, update, delete, and retrieve association definitions between HubSpot CRM objects with minimal effort. It also supports bulk operations, enabling users to manage multiple association definitions at once.
