Another Face-to-Face weekend at Babson College Miami is in the books, and what a weekend it was! From insightful guest speakers to unforgettable experiences, our community came together once again to learn, connect, and celebrate. A huge thank you to Professor Jason Wong and Gary Ottley for inviting incredible speakers: ?? Benjamin Sánchez, Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning at United Airlines, who gave us a masterclass on how airlines plan routes and pricing, offering an inside look into the complexities of aviation strategy. ?? Erick Soderstrom, a seasoned strategic leader with experience at Converse, AT&T, Domo, and Motorola, who shared valuable lessons on the importance of true strategy and purpose in business, drawing from both his successes and failures. Beyond the classroom, we also made time to celebrate birthdays and enjoyed a Miami Heat vs. Pacers game! A huge congratulations to Ernesto Forero Fernández de Castro, MBA 2025, for the recent publication of his book Manual de Derecho Portuario (Manual of Port Law in Colombia), in collaboration with Tirant lo Blanch, one of the most prestigious legal publishers in the Spanish-speaking world. True to the entrepreneurial spirit of Babson College, Ernesto is not only advancing in his MBA journey but also making a lasting impact in his field by introducing Port Law as an autonomous legal discipline. His book systematically organizes the principles and institutions that define this area, serving as a key reference for professionals, concessionaires, and authorities navigating port regulations.
