It was honor yesterday to host and introduce the Conference of Automotive Remarketing keynote speaker Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), who was the commanding officer of the USS Cole when al Qaeda terrorists attacked it on Oct. 12, 2000, killing 17 sailors and injuring many others. His intense, detailed, moment-by-moment account captivated our audience for an hour as he connected it to wider themes of managing challenges and disruptions through clear leadership.
