    It's that time of year again: students in our Rocky Mountain Region, we have scholarships up for grabs! Full post at https://lnkd.in/gSvZpBUq The ASPRS-RMR offers scholarships to deserving undergraduate and graduate students every year.?There will be at least one scholarship awarded (assuming sufficient applications are received) in the range of at least $500 to $1,000. Student membership in ASPRS is not required to apply, but if selected, membership is required before the scholarship is awarded.? Applications should be submitted no later than January 12, 2025. Recipients will be notified of their award by February 5, 2025. You can download and edit the application here:?https://lnkd.in/geU-Nvmh If you have questions, send an email to:?[email protected]

    Design our next logo! We are requesting submissions for a new ASRPS Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) logo. We are accepting submissions until the end of August 2024. The designer of the selected logo will be awarded a 1-year ASPRS membership. Here are the requirements: * Designer should be a current or eligible member of ASPRS Rocky Mountain Region * Colors shall be restricted #aabc38 for green and #00458b for blue * A similar layout should be used for?the name of the Society (e.g., ASPRS), the society’s tagline (e.g., The Imaging and Geospatial Information Society), and the name of Subdivision (e.g., Rocky Mountain Region) * Customization of the globe should clearly signify the unique identity of the Subdivision while maintaining design elements of the ASPRS globe, (see Early Career Professionals example) * Custom graphics signifying the unique identity of the Subdivision can be added to ASPRS globe on the far left or to the right of the standard form (see Potamic Region example) Final images will be ~400x400 pixels, and submissions should contain a DPI of 150 or greater. Raster or Vector files are fine for submission, but we may ask the winning designer to make format edits if needed. The current ASPRS RMR board will vote on the winning design in our September meeting. Please submit your entries to [email protected], Thank You!!

  • Two updates! Congratulations to Cynthia Jennings from Colorado School of Mines! She is the recipient of the 2023/2024 RMR-ASPRS Student Scholarship. We were honored to present the award at GeoWeek 2024 in Denver, Colorado.
