Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the American Society of Civil Engineers Multi-Regional Leadership Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. As a representative of the ASCE St. Louis Younger Member Group, I participated in the Central Region Younger Member Council and had the opportunity to present our group's continued efforts in professional development, community outreach, and member engagement. I also had insightful discussions and exchanged ideas with current and future leaders in the industry. It was an incredible experience to collaborate with so many passionate professionals dedicated to advancing civil engineering. 2025 Central Region Younger Member Council (CRYMC) in Cleveland, OH, was a huge success! This year’s conference brought together younger members from across the region to collaborate, learn, and strengthen their leadership skills within ASCE. ASCE St. Louis Section was well-represented, with our members actively engaging in workshops, networking events, and leadership discussions. A special highlight was Dakota and Olivia’s presentation on our YMG where they showcased our group’s efforts in professional development, community outreach, and member engagement. Beyond the presentations, CRYMC provided a great opportunity to connect with fellow young professionals, share best practices, and discuss the future of civil engineering. From leadership development sessions to social events, this conference was a valuable experience for all who attended. We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and continue growing our YMG.
