Patricio Grané Labat, partner in our London office, delivered the keynote speech at the Second Annual Conference of Latin American Arbitration Practitioners | EU (LATAP) held in Paris today. Attendees also heard from International Arbitration counsel álvaro Nistal Nistal, who spoke on the panel, “The Impact of Investment Treaties on Human Rights and Climate Change.” The conference focused on topical and important matters concerning the interactions between international arbitration, climate change, human rights, infrastructure projects, fraud, and artificial intelligence in Latin America. Labat has over 20 years of experience of international investor-State arbitration, commercial arbitration, international trade and public international law. He has represented over a dozen sovereign States, and many leading multinational corporations, in challenging and complex disputes across numerous geographies, sectors and subject matters.
