A common finding in patients with neovascular nAMD ?? See how AI for OCT works on real AMD scans in a Demo: https://demo.altris.ai/ Fibrovascular Pigment Epithelial Detachment?(FVPED) involves?the growth of new, fragile blood vessels?beneath the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). FVPED is a subtype of Pigment Epithelial Detachment (PED), a pathological condition where the RPE separates from the underlying Bruch's membrane due to an accumulation of fluid, fibrovascular tissue, blood, or drusenoid material. On OCT, FVPED often presents as a dome-shaped elevation of the RPE. A key diagnostic feature is the "tomographic notch," a well-defined, V-shaped depression in the PED's contour. The area adjacent to the notch may exhibit a shallower, PED-like lesion with sub-RPE hyperreflectivity. Below is a visualization of how Altris AI?detects FVPED and other biomarkers of Polypoidal vasculopathy, CNV, and AMD.

Let's talk about common ocular emergencies often requiring urgent treatment. ?? See how AI for OCT works on real scans in a Demo: https://demo.altris.ai/ Retinal detachment occurs when subretinal fluid accumulates between the neurosensory retina and the retinal pigment epithelium through three mechanisms: ? Rhegmatogenous: a break in the retina allowing liquified vitreous to enter the subretinal space directly. ? Tractional: proliferative membranes on the surface of the retina or vitreous pull on the neurosensory retina causing a physical separation between the neurosensory retina and retinal pigment epithelium. ? Exudative: accumulation of subretinal fluid due to inflammatory mediators or exudation of fluid from a mass lesion/insufficient RPE function.

Raising Awareness for Glaucoma Week with Altris Education | OCT & Altris AI. At Altris Inc., we are committed to advancing glaucoma detection with cutting-edge AI technology. During this Glaucoma Awareness Week, we highlight how AI can enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing insights on: ? AI-Powered Optic Disc Analysis with Altris AI module– Understanding how AI can assist in detecting glaucomatous changes. ? GCC Asymmetry Analysis with Altris AI module – A critical indicator of early-stage glaucoma. ? DDLS (Disc Damage Likelihood Scale)– A powerful tool for assessing optic nerve head damage. Join us in raising awareness! Follow along as we explore the impact of AI in glaucoma diagnostics and discuss how technology can support eye care professionals in saving sight.

The prevalence of this rare retinal disease—estimated at 0.12%—might be underestimated due to low awareness/potential misdiagnosis as AMD. See how AI for OCT works on real scans in a Demo: https://demo.altris.ai/ This condition, known as Macular Telangiectasia Type 2, is a bilateral, neurodegenerative disease affecting the central retina and leading to central visual distortions. While the exact cause remains unknown, MacTel Type 2 damages the macular capillary system and retina, particularly within a region known as the 'MacTel zone.' OCT is invaluable in identifying its characteristic features: ??Hyporeflective spaces within the inner and outer retina ??Disruption of the ellipsoid zone ??Hyperreflective lesions due to pigment migration ??Foveal atrophy in advanced stages

Altris AI and Altris Education | OCT are delighted to showcase our Advanced Optic Disc analysis at the 100% Optical event in London this week (? Booth E19). British optometrists will be the first to experience and trial the most effective screening tool for glaucoma. Our journey in glaucoma analysis began with the development of AI-powered GCC Asymmetry Analysis, designed to detect early signs of the disease. Now, we’re introducing the AI-powered Advanced Optic Disc (OD) Analysis module, as OD assessment remains the gold standard for structural glaucoma diagnosis. Visit Booth E19 and talk to our team: Andrey Kuropyatnyk, MBA, CEO, Maria Znamenska, MD, PhD, CMO, Mark Braddon, VP Sales, Grant Schmid, VP BD, and Oleksandra Krasovska, Head of Customer Success.

In the latest article, Altris AI team shares, how they've developed an advanced Optic Disc Analysis module. This module analyzes any OCT scan protocol that captures the optic nerve—whether it's a 3D optic disc scan or a wide scan—from multiple OCT systems. This translates to earlier, more accurate detection, even in the presence of co-existing macular pathologies. The article details how the team achieved: ??Earlier Detection, especially in challenging cases. ??Simplified Workflow through seamless integration with your existing OCT. ??Normative Database Independence: the module doesn't rely on normative databases, allowing for more comprehensive analysis, even for patients often excluded from traditional databases (e.g., high myopes). ??Universal Glaucoma Assessment: consistent and accurate DDLS staging. ??Earlier intervention for better vision preservation. Vision Expo is just a week away, and our team is excited to meet you! We'll be traveling from around the globe to the event. ?? At Booth PAN 1955, Altris AI will present a game-changing glaucoma detection and management module that provides personalized advanced optic disc assessments using OCT. This approach breaks free from normative databases, leading to more precise pathology detection and fewer overreferrals. This module complements Altris' existing Ganglion Cell Complex asymmetry analysis for early glaucoma detection. Integrated with the platform's comprehensive suite of modules for pathology identification, detection, and tracking, it streamlines your workflow and enhances your practice's profitability. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the Vision Expo opening! We look forward to connecting with you there.
