Together, they packed backpacks filled with essential school supplies for local children in need, ensuring they have the tools to succeed this school year. AIT teammates love to give back to our communities! In August, 17 of our Chicago-area volunteers supported the CEL - Center for Enriched Living's annual golf tournament. Throughout the day, they packed swag bags, checked in golfers, and assisted with contests on the course. Kudos to the several Chicago-area teammates who recently had the opportunity to support our local Special Olympics Illinois athletes during their annual Golf Skills competition. The event allows athletes from all over the region to showcase skills in various golf challenges. During the competition, enthusiastic AIT volunteers assisted by scoring, driving golf carts, and cheering on the participants. In July, a group of teammates from AIT-Los Angeles volunteered with Habitat for Humanity International to support the dream of a local woman and her family looking to own their first home. The group dedicated their day to framing, sealing windows and doors, and prepping trim for painting. We’re proud of the team for their dedication and hard work, making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We’re proud to share that AIT Worldwide Logistics' team in Shenzhen, China, recently sponsored the Tianzhijiao Rehabilitation Service Center’s “Empowering Childhood Dreams with Love” event aimed at raising support and awareness for children on the autism spectrum. In addition to touring the facility to gain insights and admire the children’s artwork, a group of volunteer teammates also worked together to create a memorable and enriching day for the kids. Together, they sang, played games, and built crafts designed to foster the children’s social skills, teamwork and creative expression. The event was a prime example of AIT’s core value of engaging in the communities where we live and work. At AIT Worldwide Logistics, one of our core values is giving back to the communities where we live and work. In May, members of our Philadelphia team did just that when they supported Cradles to Crayons' annual Gear Up for Baby diaper drive. On not one, but two separate occasions this past spring, a group of Chicago area teammates from AIT Worldwide Logistics came together to bring some cheer to the guests at Ronald McDonald House in Winfield, Illinois. Families stay at the residence free of charge while their children receive medical care right across the street at Central DuPage Hospital. As part of RMH’s “Cookies from the Heart” program, the teammates brought their own baking supplies and spent a few hours baking for the families. Kudos to our colleagues for embodying an AIT core value by engaging in the community and helping to make the world a little sweeter—one cookie at a time. In May, a team of dedicated AIT Worldwide Logistics teammates from the Hermosillo office in Mexico spent a meaningful day volunteering at Unidad Terapeutica Especializada En La Mujer, a clinic that provides treatment for women with substance use disorders. The team made a significant impact on the community where they live and work by distributing cleaning supplies, non-perishable food, and other necessary goods they had collected. Their work not only highlights one of AIT’s core values, but it’s also especially timely given the alarming statistics from Mexico's National Commission Against Addiction, which recently highlighted an increase of more than 200% in drug abuse among girls and young women aged 12 to 17. #AITCares #CommunitySupport #WomenEmpowerment #Volunteerism #SubstanceAbuseAwareness
