It's been almost ten years to the day since I left the Marine Corps. I'm so grateful to have found a new purpose and profession as an Entrepreneur in the Medical Device industry. Every day I feel lucky to have another opportunity working alongside some of the most committed, talented, and passionate professionals I have ever known in pursuit of a new mission. The entire Bright Uro team is so incredibly proud to work for a leader like former Marine Raider, Derek Herrera. He defended our great country in Iraq and then Afghanistan, where he served as a Marine Special Operations Team commander when he was injured in 2012. Capt. Herrera's courage and commitment to protect his troops earned him many commendations, including a Purple Heart, a Combat Action Ribbon, and a Bronze Star.
