According to our survey, providing special seating and assistance with luggage are seen as the most helpful considerations for these individuals. “Our age-segregated culture makes it easy to dismiss older people as irrelevant or out of touch,” writes AARP’s Debra Whitman in a new The Wall Street Journal op-ed. “By nurturing friendships that cut across generations and listening to stories accumulated over decades, it’s possible to forge new ideas and expectations for your own future.”? ? Drawing on a growing body of research, Whitman highlights that positive beliefs about aging can reduce stress and encourage healthier behaviors, which in turn enhance longevity and mental well-being. A new AARP Public Policy Institute report delves into the data from five separate surveys of emergency savings to get a clearer picture of who is saving, how much they are saving, and what factors are playing a role. #Retirement #Financial Security #EmergencySavings https://lnkd.in/enTVnQaU
