    Sacramento, CA

Summary: ASA My name is Santa Liliana Revelez and I was born in Mexico City and a Sacramento State Hornet. I am a mother, an advocate and an educator. Since the beginning of time, when our land was taken the trauma began. There’s been a need for healing but no guidance; by healing, educating and uplifting people we can heal communities collaboratively and bring peace to families in historically disadvantaged neighborhoods. My mission is to bring people together to spread awareness to empower communities to thrive in peace. My passion for law and justice has always been clear. My service began at Sac County Juvenile hall mentoring youth and facilitating groups. I was a breastfeeding mother throughout my college years. My service proceeded at USPS as an intern for federal investigations and a paid internship at CALPIA training incarcerated women returning to the workforce. After graduating at Sacramento State I began my career as a Juvenile Probation Officer in Placer County part time and work full time as a Domestic Violence Legal Advocate for STAND UP PLACER. Where I served women and men that were encountering domestic violence, sexual abuse and human trafficking by providing advocacy and services. My service then geared towards my passion for education which began at a young age in discovering a new language, new land, new culture. I am an advocate for education and positive generational wealth. I am a leader in education; I have developed, coordinated and managed vocational educational programs that promote healthy relationships. I have provided resources and connected individuals to life forming opportunities. I promote trauma informed communication to be able to provide the best support and services to our families in our community. I taught in a classroom setting; twelve students with diagnosis of, "Emotionally Disturbed". This disability ranged from anger management, anxiety, suicidal mental state, depression, bipolar etc. I ran maximum security units, general population units, Intake units with youth being detained. I observed, collected and prepared data collection for IEP's and BIPs. I assisted students with advocacy through the transitional phase. I provided mentorship for the youth in our system by providing a listening ear, caring heart and intentional positive guidance. Hobbies: Dancing, Stretching, Hiking, Golf and Karaoke.
