Zurich Investment Events overview for 2024

Visited numerous events in 2024 in #Switzerland and for Switzerland, and already formed a certain understanding of the investment ecosystem, including:

?? Active locations TRUST SQUARE and Impact Hub Zürich - with almost weekly events from various organizers. Their events are mostly interesting, especially I enjoyed the pitching sessions of young (15-18 years old ??) entrepreneurs organized by Stella Lovén or The Zurich AI Conference organized by Startup Network Europe ????

?? Simple meetings like #StartupOpenCoffee with Cyrill Glockner (about venture investments at the mornings) and 4WARD.earth: The local-to-global community for climate DOERs moving the world forward! - 2 of it is good when you want to discuss something with like-minded people in a daily atmosphere. GreenBuzz (about green investments) - an interesting community that holds weekly meetings on different topics in various locations. #EnterpreneursZurich organized by Anne Haefele - monthly on Wednesdays (great for your first speeches and pitches). #BitcoinMeetupZürich organized by Stefan Kübler - was weekly on Mondays, but now it seems to be every two weeks on Wednesdays.

Other impressive experiences included:

?? #SheWealth, an initiative by #UBC bank, also periodically holds interesting events, one of which was dedicated to investments in art. I’m probably just a fan of art, so I liked everything. But honestly, I also do adored one ofthe organizers Marion Fogli and what she is doing (I'm talking about female wealth social movements and the Financial Literacy Course, of which she is a co-creator).

?? Undoubtedly, our Unicorn Events from my team Startup.Network , where investors come to listen selections of the most promising Series A Startups. Many of the events next year will be held in Geneva as well. Another pitch format is organized by CONDA.ch - here you can look at Swiss investment offers in the real business sectors.

?? Also notable is the #top100ssu (TOP 100 Swiss Startups) which takes place annually in #Lausanne in the autumn.

?? A notable event was #Superinvestor in #Monaco. They hold two equal events annually - Superinvestor and #Superreturn by Informa. These are attended by funds and later-stage investors, Series C or D. For a complete picture of the venture industry, it's still useful to attend ??

• >>venture>> Startup Competition and Bluelion is also doing a great job, but I think my time with them has come to an end. ??
• FounderSpace - The Entrepreneurship Club at UZH , not an incubator, but I also thank them for a number of co-organized events. ??

What I definitely want to attend next 2025 year:

?? DAO Afterwork Zurich and Crypto Zurich: Bitcoin and Blockchain - small systematic events. There are more of them in Zug, but I’m only willing to go there for the #CV Summit 2025 holded by CV Labs & CV VC in autumn. Overall, I am drawn to the DAO-crypto-blockchain community because they are dreamers who manage to implement the most incredible ideas. ? These dreamers are building a new world, and the atmosphere in such a community is definitely different from any other events - that’s guaranteed.

???? I will attend events from SICTIC , as I consider this investment club the most advanced in the country.

?????? Of course #WEF Davos (I’m already preparing and definitely want to participate in a few crypto events in there and the Burn Party + surely there will be a Davos afterparty in Zurich after). Well known as a political globalist gathering, but I will say that besides the politicians sitting behind their castle walls, some truly interesting business activities are happening at the same time there. Many people go to Davos in January not to listen to the strange plans of globalists but to network in business circles with people gathered from all over the world. Therefore, I’m in. ??

???????? #FoundersDay from Swiss Startup Association. Would like to look how it goes on.

???????? #SWISSAISUMMIT organized by Timea N. . During the year there are a lot of events on the topic of AI, from different organizers, big and small. I liked this one because it brought together the most relevant topics nowadays - AI, Blockchain, Quantum, Robotics ?? - and showed how they interact with each other. In one place, you can gather all the market novelties at once. A kind of 4-in-1 intensive.

• I previously wrote about the triangle of startup events (#StartSummit, #StartupDays - the largest startup event in Bern, and #StartupNights, an event for 6,000 people in Winterthur). In my opinion, the grandest one is the START Global Summit in St. Gallen. I will definitely try to be there. ??

• I still haven’t had the chance to personally meet Innosuisse , so I plan to attend one of their events in #Zurich or even Innoday in March in St. Gallen.

Definitely there are many more I've overlooked (as Venture Kick, and other, please message me if yo see whom I missed, I'll do my research wider)

Entertainment events:

• I would like to attend the Philosophical Festival, but it will be on the same dates as Davos, so it's questionable ??
• It was exciting to participate in the Zurich Film Festival. Next year, it would be interesting to attend the VIP party.
• Masquerade Ball #Kostümfest in March - I want to attend since I missed it last year.
• Kispibal from Baur au Lac . I had a chance to get an invite in '24, but was exhausted by the many events that season. Hopefully in 2025 I'll have more energy. ????

?? Thanks to all great organizers for holding so many events that I didn’t have time to take a break (honestly, some periods I had 2-3 events during the week, and not so rarely I had to choose which event to attend because there were several proposals for the same day) ???? Oh #Zurich, huge thanks for keeping me constantly busy, and of course, I am incredibly grateful for the large number of new acquaintances ?????? so many new names ??
