In the 5th century BCE, the story goes, the Greek king Agamemnon returned to his homeland after a long battle with Troy. His wife ordered her servants to “carpet his way with crimson tapestries” in his honor, so that his feet did not come in contact with the earth.
Much later, in 1821, when the fifth president of the U.S., James Monroe arrived in South Carolina by boat, a red carpet was rolled out to the river in his honor.
In 1902, the railroad company in New York began using plush crimson carpets to guide passengers boarding one of their prestigious express trains, the 20th Century Limited.
Soon afterwards, Hollywood adopted the custom for the release of Robin Hood in 1922, and by the late1920, red carpets had become synonymous with movie premieres. It was the one place where people could catch a glimpse of Clark Gable or Grace Kelly, and the other stars of the time.[1]
That’s how the phrase “red carpet treatment” came into being, and to this day, signifies a special honor given to people for an exemplary achievement.

The Zuci Red Carpet is an annual event that we have been conducting for several years now and is the most awaited event in our calendar!
It is where we formally acknowledge the contribution of our top performers across the board. It encompasses both technical and non-technical work from every function of the organization and adds an element of fun to the mix, making it a wholesome event that every employee looks forward to.
Recognition is a cornerstone of employees’ career progression and fosters a sense of accomplishment and drives the motivation to scale new heights. When their work is acknowledged and rewarded, it boosts confidence, enhances job satisfaction, and engagement levels.
Most importantly, our Red Carpet is key to creating a positive work culture, where individuals feel appreciated and valued for their hard work.
Ultimately, consistent recognition holds the key to both personal and professional success.
Red Carpet Award Categories
CYNOSURE is a quarterly award for individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, faced challenges, and powered the way for innovative solutions to customer problems.
The SALUTE OF LOYALTY awards celebrate key milestones in employees’ careers—the completion of 3, 5, and 10 years with the organization.
Awarded to SUPER ACHIEVERS, the above awards recognize various aspects of individual contributions. They include stellar performances by new joiners, contributions to develop the Zuci brand, achievements in meeting and exceeding sales targets, developing impactful marketing strategies, improvements in quality, as well as other outstanding work across various functions.

The Zuci Red Carpet recognizes both individual contributions and teamwork. The TEAM AWARDS, which include winners and runners-up, celebrate setting up innovative process improvements, display of incredible teamwork and collaboration, as well as out-of-the-world skill and performance. ?
We also have the ARMOUR OF GOD, the ultimate trophy of the year. This is awarded to one of the four Zuci CAMPS—the Bumble Bees, Quick Silvers, Rainbow Riders, and Space Angels—who managed to score the highest points in fun events conducted throughout the year. Points are counted by the number of highly coveted Black Crystals, with each event being worth a specified amount. Events are typically highly engaging activities, centered around sports, festivals, art, music, innovation, creativity, and much more.
