The Zone

The Zone

I’ll be honest here…

I wasn’t planning to write this week. I was tired, and I was ready to phone it in. I guess that’s ok sometimes, right?

Well, here I am writing, so what happened?

This morning, I was BLESSED to have some time to get into my Zen Garden and do some raking for an hour or so. I didn’t think about work, or coaching, or parenting, or anything on my to-do list.

I just raked. And I gotta tell ya…I feel SO MUCH better. I forgot how nice it is to simply disappear into a little project. It is very therapeutic.

So rather than phoning it in, I thought I would use this as an OPPORTUNITY to create a little reminder for all of us (myself included).

What do you do that allows you to fade into the “THE ZONE”.

Maybe it’s playing a game, running, or working out. Perhaps it’s gardening or taking care of your yard. Maybe it’s woodworking or doing something with your hands.

No matter the case, are you giving yourself ENOUGH time and space to take care of yourself and get into the zone.

I’ll be the first to admit that I have not. But, that’s ok, because today was my reminder of how important “OUR SPECIAL TIME” is to the creation of a happy and healthy journey.

So with that, here’s to your journey in our world, my friend. Make it a fantastic weekend and I’ll see you again next week.
