Zinc Oxide Mineral Processing Efficiency Affected by Which Three Major Factors?

Flotation method is an important means of lead oxide beneficiation, but regardless of flotation, the control of sulfidation conditions is very important, including the amount of sulfurization agent, sulfidation time, stirring conditions and dosing methods, and the appropriate pH value of the slurry. They are main aspects affecting the efficiency of lead oxide flotation. Let’s take a look at how to influence it as factors.

1. Influence of the Dosage of Zinc Oxide Flotation Sulfurization Agent

When lead oxide ore is sulfurized, the dosage of sulfurization agent needs to be reasonably controlled. Insufficient sulfide and excessive sulfide will reduce the flotation effect of lead ore. When the amount of sulfide is insufficient, it will be consumed by the hydrated lead ions dissolved from the mineral and precipitate in the form of lead sulfide. When the amount of sulfide is too high, it will cause excessive sulfide on the mineral surface, thereby inhibiting the flotation of lead oxide ore. Generally speaking, the dosage of vulcanizing agent is appropriate between 100 and 400g/t.

In addition to the content of lead minerals, the amount of oxidant is also related to the material composition of minerals, slime content, and soluble ions to a large extent.

2. Influence of Zinc Oxide Flotation by Sulfurization Time, Stirring Conditions And Dosing Methods

The sulfidation time, stirring conditions and dosing method of Na2S have a great influence on the sulfidation process, mainly because the properties of different lead oxide ores are different.

The process of Na2S reacting with lead oxide to form a lead sulfide film takes a certain amount of time, and the thickness of the lead sulfide film changes with the concentration of Na2S and the length of contact with lead oxide. When the concentration of Na2S in the slurry is higher and the stirring time is longer, the thicker the lead sulfide film formed, the greater the adsorbed collector dose when it interacts with xanthate or other collectors, thereby promoting the flotation of lead oxide. Conversely, the interaction time between sodium sulfide and lead oxide is not enough for a long time, the mineral surface is not completely sulfurized, which affects the adsorption of the collector and makes the flotation index unsatisfactory.

3. The Influence of Zinc Oxide Flotation Sulfidation and Slurry Ph Value

Sulfidation is closely related to the pH value of the slurry. When the pH of the slurry is maintained at 9.2 to 9.8, it is a very important condition for the effective recovery of lead oxide ore. This pH value is not only conducive to increasing the sulfidation rate and the floating speed of the oxidized ore, but also It can promote the inhibitory effect of carboxymethyl cellulose, water glass, and hexametaphosphate on easily floating silicate gangue minerals.

Flotation Cell

The above three aspects are important factors affecting lead oxide flotation. In the actual mineral processing plant, a suitable solution should be determined based on experimental analysis. In addition, based on experimental analysis, it is also particularly important to reasonably grasp the flotation reagents, dosage, and time, otherwise it will also cause flotation index of lead oxide ore.
