WHAT IS A ZETATERRA PIGMENT?

“Terra” is an italian word that means “earth, ground, soil”, the natural source from which ZETATERRA Pigments come from.

This range of pigments of natural origin is ZAITEX's response to the constantly growing market request of using eco-friendly products in textile production.

WHAT ZETATERRA IS FOR?

ZETATERRA Pigments allow to get astonishing washed down effects on garments.

Most importantly, these pigments feature very high overall fastnesses which lets ZETATERRA Pigments differentiate from traditional natural ones, very poor in fastness results, especially for light test.

Unlike vegetable or animal dyes that usually lack bright shades, ZETATERRA Pigments feature a wide range of shades, from pale to very bright colors.

HOW ZETATERRA ARE MADE?

ZETATERRA Pigments are obtained by following a few but crucial steps in their processing:

1. SOURCING - the ground is the source from which they are taken
2. MINING - the ground of some small, selected quarries is mined into small pieces
3. RE-COVERING - the mined quarries are re-covered with other terrain
4. MANUFACTURING - the small stones of terrain are grinded and processed for ennobling them into colored powder
5. QUALITY CONTROL - the powder becomes a high quality standard product suitable for several applications, including dyeing
6. ZETATERRA - what nature makes us available to use & re-use becomes a pigment for the dyeing of garments

WHAT FEATURES DO ZETATERRA HAVE?

The dyeing process involving ZETATERRA Pigments makes use only of certified products, listed GOTS & ZDHC

Main features:

• high general fastnesses
• low dyeing temperature (max 50°C )
• easy water treatment - no electrolytes and possible filtration of dyebath
• very good light & washing fastnesses
• high reproducibility
• can be applied in combination to get infinite color shades

ZETATERRA Pigments can dye garments made by:

• cotton
• wool
• polyamide
