Zeroing In: News and Insights on Net Zero
The phrase "net zero" is widely used, but what does it actually mean? Simply said, net zero describes the balance between the production and removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. It can be done by combining emission removal with emission reduction.
Why is Net Zero Important?
From countries and companies to individuals, tackling climate change is at the top of the agenda. Action taken to limit emissions in the next decade will be critical to the future, which is why every country, sector, industry and each one of us must work together to find ways to cut the carbon we produce.
The push towards net zero and reversing climate change has touched everyone in every industry, but it means very different things to different people. It is essential for there to be a global concerted effort to reduce our impact on the environment and create economic solutions that put climate at their centre without bankrupting the world.
At Sustainability LIVE New York last week our panel session with Ellis Spiezia , Electric Racing Driver at Ellysium Racing and Karli Anderson , EVP, Chief People & ESG Officer and Head of Communications at Summit Materials discuss what net zero and climate change mean for their business and how you can implement new policies to tackle environmental issues for the future.
