Nithin Kamath, Zerodha's Chief Executive Officer suffered a mild stroke around six weeks ago. Do you know what is the reason behind stroke?
"I wondered why a person who's fit and take care of himself could be affected. The doctor said you need to know when you need to shift the gears down a bit." he said.
A stroke, sometimes called a brain attack, happens when the blood supply to a part of the brain is blocked by something or a blood vessel in the brain bursts.
??What is a mild stroke?
Mild stroke does not kill brain cells as in a real stroke. Mild stroke also known as mini-stroke or transient ischemic attack. Mild strokes also cause stroke-like symptoms and are a warning sign of possible future strokes.
?A temporary lack of blood supply to the brain is the main cause of this condition.
?A volume of blood to feed the brain and nervous system accounts for about 15% of the total blood volume of the whole body and is supplied to the brain by the contraction of the heart and the movement of the arterial system.
When this amount of blood is deficient, it will affect the brain and many activities of the organs in the body.
??4 Signs of mild stroke:

1)Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body.
2)Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or difficulty understanding speech.
3)Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.

How to prevent
Strokes could be prevented through healthy lifestyle changes. 3 things we all need to do to keep our body healthy.
#1: Exercise
#2: Nutrition
#3: Rest
Do everything including exercise and food in moderation. Don't eat food or do exercise like there is no tomorrow. Lot of stupid people are doing it like that, but you don't have to do that! Your body is like a rubber band. It has the capacity to expand but there is a limitation. If you go outside that limit, your body will suffer and will break the system. So know the limit. Your body doesn't need pizza but your body need nutrients: Macro and Micro nutrients. Those nutrients are the one giving your body it's full power. If you lack any of the essential nutrients, your body is going to suffer, that will weaken your system. So make sure you're getting all the essential nutrients in proper proportion.
Lastly, rest or good night sleep is necessary for repair and rebuild. There are many things happening when you sleep. Lack of sleep reduce organ's functionality. So If you think you're struggling with sleep(meaning not getting all the 4 stages of sleep, find out the reason. Fix that issue immediately).
