Due to the rapid rate of change over the past several years brought on by the need for a safe and resilient digital transformation, today's businesses have had to overcome numerous obstacles. The pandemic's disruption has made these problems more pressing. Massive macroeconomic changes worldwide, from the expansion of remote labor to changes in consumer interaction tactics, have profoundly altered how businesses operate. Before the pandemic, remote work was well underway, and it had already affected IT strategy and the move to the cloud, particularly the hybrid cloud.
We are learning to live with COVID-19 today, and A10 Networks has published worldwide research exposing the difficulties and priorities of enterprise organizations in this post-pandemic period and how this is influencing future technological requirements. Nearly all (93%) of the 250 business organizations questioned in the UK expressed significant worry about all facets of business digital resilience. Although organizations were most worried about maximizing security tools to gain a competitive edge, they were also quite concerned about using their IT resources in the cloud, reflecting their understanding of the significance of striking a balance between security and efficiency.
The New Age of Digital Resilience
One requirement comes out when businesses weigh the risks associated with a developing infrastructure against the need for flexibility, agility, and innovation. This requirement is to maintain the high standards of performance and availability that customers and workers expect—no matter what. Success in the digital era hinges on having solid digital resilience. Organizations are investing in cutting-edge technology to support digital transformation programs while juggling applying robust Zero Trust principles with the need to preserve operational agility. Furthermore, in the years to come, high levels of worry about all facets of digital transformation solutions with a heavy emphasis on business continuity will be the norm.

Environments with private clouds are desired
With 81% of Asia Pacific corporate organizations reporting an increase in network traffic levels over the previous 12 months, increased network traffic has exacerbated the issues experienced by respondents. Compared to the global average growth of 47%, this increase was, on average, 39%. 75% of Asia Pacific corporate organizations questioned the predicted breakdown of their future network environment, stating it will be cloud-based, with 33% saying that private cloud was their preferred environment. However, they are unconvinced about their cloud service providers, with 48% of them saying they cannot satisfy SLAs.
Zero trust is essential due to rising cyber threats
Organizations of all types are in greater danger as hackers get more sophisticated, assaults become more frequent, and geopolitical tensions rise. DDoS amplification and reflection attacks are quick, inexpensive, and straightforward. Attacks supported by states and cyberaggression are also increasing, as seen by the continuing confrontation between Russia and Ukraine. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that businesses are deeply concerned about a wide range of security issues, including the loss of valuable assets and data and the disruptive effects of outages or network lockdowns.
Businesses can no longer rely on their security strategy on a hardened perimeter because the open internet has replaced the secure enterprise network as the de facto environment for modern computing. As a substitute, it is crucial to guarantee security throughout their technological ecosystem, from the core to the edge and beyond, while enabling safe access to essential business applications anytime, everywhere.
Once more, we observe that one of the main challenges to companies' digital resilience is the need to compromise business agility and protection. Organizations need to maximize security tools for a competitive edge and ensure their networks aren't being used as weapons for more attacks. As they look to the future, businesses must incorporate new DDoS protection capabilities that foresee and defend against attacks from internal and external sources and new sources of cybersecurity risk information, such as specialized DDoS threat intelligence.
