Zero fees for electronic fund transfers eyed

Zero fees for electronic fund transfers eyed

Good morning. Is everything finally coming up roses? Last week, the latest outlook of the Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office projected that the PH is poised to be the second fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia this year and in 2025. Apart from that, lower prices are seen for both rice and electricity as India lifts its export ban and colder weather lowers electricity spot prices.

As icing on the cake, the BSP wants banks and other financial firms under its supervision to waive the service fee on electronic fund transfers.

Now on to sobering news: Naia overnight parking fees have soared from P300 for four-wheelers to P1,200—but that's not all. Before the year ends, Naia may impose a fee for vehicles overstaying along the terminal driveways to encourage quicker movement in and out of the airport.
