No zero days
That's going to be the smile of someone who'll have "no zero days." Find out why.

No zero days

Taking a break seems just fine until...

You notice how another week has already passed.

It happens.

That's why "no zero days"—the latest "mantra" I, B1 Ana, and my kabyahes are adopting when it comes to building our freelance business—has become so meaningful to me lately.

This week, I barely lifted a finger on other areas of my digital marketing life.

And that's because I dedicated a few more chunks of my energy to affiliate marketing.

Yup, I'm a proud affiliate of The Freelance Movement Tribe.

And for some of you who do have an entrepreneurial mind, you might probably think right now...

Oh, so that's why she was talking a lot about the Tribe lately.

Haha. Well, you're right in some sense.

But that's not the entire story.

Even before JTL (John "The Legend" Pagulayan) talked about having an affiliate launch for the Tribe...

I've already been casually saying all the cool things I've found inside.

It's a beautiful, synchronized community, after all.

Anyway, back to the affiliate launch.

Yeah, JTL told the Tribe members he's closing the enrollment indefinitely.

Moving forward, he'll focus more on supporting Tribe members, old and new, in their freelance journey.

But before he's closing all doors, he's going to give one more call...

And that, with the help of Tribe members themselves.

Who better could tell the story of how the Tribe changes lives than the members themselves?

So that's the backstory of why I was able to create four (4) "audiogram" videos of a little "show" I called "TFM FM."

That's, of course, in honor of "The Freelance Movement..."

And also, in reference to FM radio stations I loved listening to back in my childhood.

I never thought the quirky "radio show" would actually become a thing.

One episode led to another.

Now I got four.

Yeah, yeah...

It's not yet thaaat many, but if I think about it, a thing a day really does make an impact.

A similar experience happened to my banana buddy B1 Ana...

When she decided she'd do her "main thing" every day and dedicate at least 3 hours to it every single day.

She progressed.

Ana had a different source of inspiration for her main thing, but she also resonated with kabyahe Jalvi's "no zero days" philosophy.

And "no zero days" simply means...

Whenever you feel under the weather or there are so-called "emergencies" to attend to...

Just make sure you do even only one tiny little thing for your main goal.

As long as you're not "zero" for the day, you're good.

That'll keep your momentum going.

So that's what I'm doing now even for this newsletter.

There were many times I didn't want to write or send anything...

Times when I'd say to myself, "Okay, Karen, how about we do this tomorrow instead?"

But, nah...

If I do that, I'd miss out on my own promise.

I promised the LinkedIn world that I'll deliver a newsletter edition every single week.

Well, I only missed one time. That was the week of the Odette rampage, and I didn't have sufficient resources to publish an issue. I'd say that was a rare exemption.

Today, hmmm, I just felt I had given a lot of energy to other stuff already...

Hence the little I have left to write this edition out.

But...

I can just share my story, right?

And it doesn't take a lot to recall what's really happened throughout the week.

Okay, to be fair to Gina and Lolo, everything that I did was fun.

It all started with me sharing two notifications I received. And in an unusual way.

Then I thought about presenting a convo between Lolo and Apo.

Next, flashbacks of afternoon radio drama memories inspired me...

So I took it a little up a new level with a husband and wife's convo.

And finally, to cap things this week, I created a newscasting segment on the quirky "radio show."

Who would've thought that stuff like these—too often just jailed within the corners of my childhood room—would finally come out to the world in this day and age? haha.

Anyway, it's already Friday.

And I'm going to take my rest.

Should I exercise "no zero days" all week?

Personally, I don't have to.

I mean, I dedicate an entire 24-hour period for rest every single 7-day cycle.

It's an essential thing for me.

But for the rest of the six days?

Yeah. No zero days, for those, indeed.

So, I'll be off for now.

See you next week.

Bye!

;)

Quick Announcement:
