THE ZENCOLOR NESTING CUBE MODEL - A smaller, more useful, subset for the RGB color space.

The zenColor? Nesting Cube model makes it possible to index the data points from all digital and non-digital color mediums into a universal data mapping language. It does so by removing the redundancy from the sRGB (Standard Red Green Blue) color model without removing a single coordinate.? We refer to the smaller, more useful subset of 35,937 colors as nRGB (Normalized Red Green Blue).?

In order for the human eye to visualize the color data, it is necessary to assign digital color attributes to the Nesting Cube Model format. These attributes are displayed using nRGB. To make it easier to communicate the nRGB color attributes, we created? the six-digit zenColor Code (ZCC). The code is based on a Cartesian mapping system that orders the Nesting Cube Model by Hue Corner, Longitude, Latitude, and Saturation Layer. ZCC? is a logical mapping language that is easier to learn and far easier to understand than Hex but provides the same six-digit shorthand for communicating a RGB color value. The zenColor mapping language model is also simpler to understand and more logical than HSB and other similar systems.

Like the sRGB Color Cube, the three-dimensional zenColor Nesting Cube Model converts into a two-dimensional digital color picker. The zenColor picker, based on nRGB, is a dramatic improvement over the legacy sRGB picker that was created in the mid 1990s and is still in use today. When deployed as a digital color picker, the zenColor Nesting Cube provides a new way to view, understand, and communicate a single color standard across the entire product lifecycle.
