Zen-dom of Dogs
So, what is it that you are into these days? Meditation? Breath work? Coloring mandalas?
?While we engage in a plethora of activities to engage ourselves fully and with focus, it surprisingly comes easy to our four-legged beauties. Haven’t we often caught our dogs looking so consumed in the moment, almost Zen, that we have wondered what it is that makes them this way?
On looking closely, the answer is rather simple.?
While we have our minds full, doggos are mindful. They truly live in the present moment sans any worry about the future or a grudge of the past. They are just there, fully regaling at the moment.
Another lovely observation is the fact that they take their rest seriously. Talk to any pet parent and they will swear by it. In today’s hustle culture where we often look at rest as a symbol of weakness, our pets know better. Mindfulness and rest are complementary to each other.
Prioritizing play is an absolute plus too. Along with rest, playfulness adds a ton of joy to our lives. Remember our childhood when all we did was play? Try getting that back into our schedule. Yes, sadly we have to ‘schedule’ play but do! This, along with the walks that the doggos love, is a wonderful way to center oneself and add more joy to the mundane.
What else do you think our pets do to stay blissful??
Would love to hear in the comments.?
