Our 100% designed, developed and manufactured solutions stand proud in a fast-transforming defence landscape with increased focus on self-reliance, technological advancement, and global partnerships.

We continuously endeavour to build on our Intellectual Property (IP) and deploy the same proudly in our solutions that are finding increasing acceptance in India and globally.

Just to give an idea, our IP treasure-trove as on October 31, has a total of 161 patents, 38 designs, 45 trademarks and 23 copyrights with many more in the pipeline.?

In this context we are proud to announce that in Oct itself, we secured two important patent grants;

1. The Multi-Mode Hand Grenade Simulator

2. Infantry Virtual Training Simulation System (IVTSS)

Our tally continues as of 25 November 2024, with Zen securing its 20th patent grant, this one was for the T90 Containerised Crew Gunnery Simulator.

Innovation – a key driver

They ask - Who are big shots? The answer is - Big shots are small shots who keep on shooting! Fired with this spirit we at Zen constantly endeavour to build on our capabilities riding on the wings of enabling cutting-edge technologies, innovation and transformation.

Talking of innovation, we attempted to ride the big wave of AI and worked tirelessly to realise four new breakthrough products in partnership with our subsidiary AI Turing Technologies Limited. In an era defined by the relentless pace of technological advancement, Zen has emerged as a beacon of innovation and excellence in the world of software solution.

Here is a brief glimpse of our new offerings powered with strong tools of AI:-

  • Hawkeye. It is a multi-sensor optical platform camera tailored for critical surveillance in key vulnerable areas and vulnerable points. It integrates various detection modules for all-weather, three-dimensional target detection and tracking of drones up to 15km. Its MIL-grade design and IP66 protection ensure stable operation in harsh environments. It can also be integrated with radar and spectrum detection equipment to form an automatic UAV defence system, ensuring low-altitude safety day and night.

  • Barbarik. This Ultra-light Remote Controlled Weapon System (URCWS) represents a significant evolution in the domain of military hardware, offering versatility and enhanced combat capabilities without direct human intervention. This weapon station can be mounted on various platforms adapting seamlessly to the dynamic requirements of modern warfare. This capability enables a single platform to engage a variety of targets effectively, from personnel to lightly armoured vehicles, enhancing both its strategic utility and battlefield effectiveness.
  • Prahasta. Automated quadruped using LIDAR and reinforced learning for its locomotion, Prahasta is capable of real-time 3D terrain mapping, mission planning, navigation and threat assessment. It is our AI powered robot; our ‘soldier dog’, or military working dog. Equipped with advanced mobility and agility, Prahasta will be able to navigate diverse terrains with ease. We will be able to send Prahasta to talk, negotiate or attack the terrorists. In addition to this, the quadruped can be mounted with various armaments such as Assault rifles, Sub machine guns, Flamethrowers, Rocket and grenade launchers.

  • Sthir Stab 640. The STHIR STAB 640 x 512 is an advanced stabilized camera system featuring a Fiber Optic Gyro for superior stabilization and multiple optical sensors for high-quality imaging. This system is engineered for rapid response with impressive rotation speeds of up to 120° per second and acceleration of 120°/s2, allowing it to quickly lock onto and follow fast-moving targets. Its sophisticated tracking algorithms ensure that the camera maintains a stable focus on targets, even during sudden movements and changes in direction, providing reliable performance in dynamic situations. Designed for versatility, the STHIR STAB 640 x 512 is built to operate effectively across a wide range of temperatures, making it suitable for demanding military applications and other environments where reliability is critical.

Ever wondered, what keeps us going on the high road of innovation and technological development and what empowers us to continuously build on new capabilities and products? It is our backbone. It is our R&D.

What is so special about our R&D? Unlike all public and mostly private sector companies where the R&D only happens if it’s Govt-funded, Zen prides itself on its self-funded R&D.? Our R&D facility is accredited by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

It is our R&D facility where big ideas take shape - ideas that redefine what’s possible. We don’t just follow trends; we create them.

Over the past decade, we’ve invested more than ?1.5 billion into R&D. Why? Because, innovation is a journey, not a destination.

At Zen, we believe that sustainability should be at the core of innovation. It’s not just about creating cutting-edge combat training and counter-drone ?solutions - it’s about creating solutions that are responsible and environmentally sustainable . That’s why we’re proud of our green training solutions.

?On Green training, Zen has partnered with TERI to study the environmental and economic effects of simulators in their capability to save huge amounts of Green House Gases generated during the conduct of field-mode training. TERI is the National level policy research organisation working in the field of energy, environment and sustainable development,

Mr. Ashok Atluri, Chairman & Managing Director - Zen Technologies Limited, speaking on the panel of the Consultative Workshop on Green Training organised by TERI and NITI Aayog on 03 Dec 24 at Delhi, highlighted that?a 15Cr investment in simulators over a 30 year period can save up to 380 Cr (2500% savings). Also, by adopting simulators, India could save ?381 Cr and reduce CO? emissions by over 3,600 tons in the long run.

Mr. Ashok Atluri, Chairman & Managing Director - Zen Technologies Limited being felicitated by Maj Gen K Narayanan, AVSM, SM ( Retd) Programme Director NITI Aayog

Beyond technology, our mission extends to social responsibility as well. Through initiatives like the Veer Sammaan Foundation, we support the families of fallen soldiers and veterans, ensuring their well-being long after their service has ended.

While Zen is deeply rooted in India, our solutions are making an impact on a global scale. We export to over 10 countries, proving that Made in India can be a global benchmark for quality and innovation. We are helping elevate India’s standing in the global defence market, showcasing the power of Indian innovation across continents.

The Indian government has set ambitious target: ?3 trillion in defence production and ?500 billion in exports by FY29. For companies like Zen, this is more than an opportunity- it’s a call to action. ?With an order book of ?1,402 crore, we’re poised for rapid growth, driven by advanced anti-drone systems and simulation technologies and in turn making a positive contribution in propelling India on the path of elf reliance.

This isn’t just a win for Zen; it’s a step forward for India’s defence ecosystem as a whole.

The road ahead is exciting and full of possibilities. As we continue to innovate, collaborate, and expand, one thing remains constant: our commitment to building a self-reliant, secure, and sustainable future.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on how India can continue its journey toward self-reliance in defence. Let’s exchange ideas, explore possibilities, and collaborate to make Self-reliant India, a reality.

Let’s build something extraordinary together.
