ZEISS-TRUMPF exchange: successfully ramping up new business models

Last week we ( Cornelius Weber , Daniel Spengler and me) had the privilege to visit TRUMPF and discuss their innovative “Pay-per-Part” offering.
We were invited to TRUMPF in connection with two major ZEISS-wide projects – #KGPShapingCustomerExcellence and #FinancialFrameworksforNewBusinessModels.
Next to visiting TRUMPFs Smart Factory and seeing their new TRUE LASER 7030 at work, we discussed two main topics: driving factors of such Equipment-as-a-Service Models and legal, tax and accounting foundations to get them running.
These findings underscore the importance of rethinking how we conduct business and take new business models as a huge opportunity to drive connectivity solutions and our services.
Furthermore, it shows, that courage for piloting bold move business models is worth it.
