Zbrush for iPad is impressive - This Week in 3D

I had low expectations at the launch event on Saturday, but I was impressed at how feature rich it is. It's almost at parity with the desktop version, even supporting up to 90M polys. But I was disappointed that the UX wasn't improved by much. I hate Zbrush's interface with a passion, and many of the nonsensical UI decisions were ported over. Watch the launch video.

Unity scraps the runtime fee

The controversial fee that would charge developers for the installs of their game has finally been cancelled a year later by the new CEO. Instead subscription costs for Pro and Enterprise are increasing 8% and 25% respectively. Read the announcement.
