Hot off the press, we've published our latest statistics on public charge point installations in the first quarter of 2024. Positive developments abound, but perhaps the most tangible are the 55 new high-power charging hubs that opened across the country in the first quarter of the year.

We also joined forces with the?RAC to explore the growth of charging provision at UK supermarkets over the course of 2023. If change wasn't sweeping the aisles, it certainly visited the charging bays outside. By the end of December, stores offered almost 3,000 charge points,?an impressive year-on-year increase of 69%.

First quarter of 2024 sees rate of charge point installation increase by more than a third

Increase in slow, fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid devices

We've published new statistics on public charge point installations in the UK during the first three months of 2024.

The new figures show that the overall rate of installation has increased by 35% compared with the average across 2023. Of the electric vehicle chargers being installed, a quarter are high-powered devices ideal for drivers undertaking longer electric journeys.

The data also illustrates a continuing trend to install high-powered charging hubs, with 55 new hubs opening across the country in the first quarter of the year. ?
