“?? ???????? ???? ???????? ???????????? ?? ???????????????? ???????? ????????”.
Are you externally influenced, or internally inspired?
You may feel like you prioritise every one and other thing in your life, except for you. As a result, your business may be kicking goals, but physically and mentally, you don't feel how you used when life was simpler.
In 2012, I didn’t know what I wanted, where I was going or who I was becoming.
It was Saturday afternoon. I sat in a hall with a buddy, at the first free seminar event I had attended. The 2nd speaker stole the show and said things I had never heard...
He shared his story of how he overcame major mental and physical setbacks as a kid. This enabled him to become ‘Internally inspired’ and pursue what he valued most in life. I heard others sitting around me, sniffing and wiping tears.
My buddy looked at me, smirked, and said “This guy is using fake tears to try to convince everyone, not fooling me!”...
In that moment, I knew exactly who I do NOT want influencing me.
A few months later, I attended this speakers 2 day seminar. For the first time in my life, I felt ‘internally inspired’. And realised external influence is not enough to make true change.
9 years later, I re-attended the seminar last weekend. I was reminded that, health, fitness, nutrition etc… is not my highest value/priority in life. Yet no matter how busy or stressed life can feel, if I do not keep my body and mind in check, I will sabotage what I value the most. Not being the best I can be, is a disservice to others.
If this teacher, speaker and mentor did not pursue his highest value, he would not have been on that stage in 2012. I wouldn't have had 'external influence' to change nor become 'internally inspired' to stop blaming others and circumstances. It was the direct call take ownership of my life and focus on being great at something.
If you're not prioritising yourself... take this as permission to do so ... You'll thank yourself later .
