Tee’s Journey: Rising Above Challenges with YSB’s Young Moms and Porch Light Programs

Tee's life journey has been nothing short of challenging. She faced adversity from a young age. Her mother's incarceration and her father's struggles with addiction left Tee bouncing between the homes of family friends and extended relatives. From the tender age of five until she turned 18, she lived with countless people, never knowing when she would be uprooted again. The idea of “home” eluded her throughout her formative years.

At 19, Tee's life took a significant turn when she learned she was expecting a child with her boyfriend at the time. While the prospect of motherhood filled her with hope, the road ahead was uncertain.…

YSB is excited to announce a range of fulfilling job opportunities for those passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of youth. We are looking for dedicated individuals to fill several key roles:

1. Administrative Operations Coordinator: Full-time, $40,000-$45,000/year. Help us streamline our operations and support our mission at a high level.
2. Safe Station Youth Care Worker: Full-time 2nd shift, $18-$20/hour. Be a guide during critical hours of crisis.
3. Family Support Specialist (Youth and Family Counseling): Full-time 1st shift, $17-$18/hour. Guide families towards a brighter future.
4. Dual Program Youth Care Worker (Youth Development): Part-time, $17/hour. Impact young lives across multiple programs.
5. Drop-In Center and Street Outreach Worker (Youth Counseling): Part-time, $15-$16/hour. Connect with and support youth in need.
6. Youth Care Worker: Part-time, $15/hour (evening, nights, weekends). Make a difference during essential hours of crisis needs.

Thank you, Sacred Heart Parish in Lakeville for Christmas Gifts for Young Moms at YSB

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sacred Heart Parish in Lakeville for their generosity this time of year. They donated presents galore for the families in our Young Moms program and brightened their holiday season but the gift holds special significance. Sacred Heart Parish is where our beloved founder, Bonnie Strycker, was a member. Although Bonnie is no longer with us, the church’s annual trandition of giving continues to honor her legacy and spread joy.

YSB staff member Deanie Kopec delighted as she donned the Santa Claus costume, adding a sprinkle of magic to our celebrations. Thank you to Deanie, our staff, and Sacred Heart Parish for creating cherished memories.
