One of the things I always found fascinating is the Butterball Turkey Hotline. If you're not aware of what that is, it is a service that the poultry company Butterball offers that allows anyone to call a phone number and ask anything that they may be wondering about regarding cooking a turkey.
For years, I've wanted to do that for end-of-year fundraising. I even remember speaking with Michael J. Buckley, CFRE about the concept over lunch a few years ago, and it just didn't seem viable then.
However, the idea still has legs and I'm thrilled that Neon One is doing its version on December 13 at 1pm Eastern Time.

By doing this in a public format it also can have a mitigating effect on the very important feelings of loneliness that crop up during the holidays as well.

11 个月We do Thanksgiving with a group of friends every year, and my job is to manage the kitchen. It's always vaguely chaotic. At one point this year, I found myself bent over one of two turkeys, quietly losing my mind over the internal temps (which were all over the place) while also trying to coordinate whose dishes went into which oven and at what time. Thankfully, my sister stepped in with a very matter-of-fact solution with should have occurred to me and didn't because I was doing so many other things. If you're doing a million things this month and need a sounding board (like I did!), please join us! It'll be a good time.
