Remember the opening scene in You’ve Got Mail when Meg Ryan fired up her computer, listened to her dial up tone and heard the words “you’ve got mail”. She was so excited to receive it.?
Aghhh memories!!
Fast forward 30 years and now we get annoyed by an inbox overflowing with emails.?
Back in the day, you’d read every email you got. You’d reply and you were happy doing so.?
How times have changed! ??
Now people don’t even have the courtesy to respond to people they know, including clients.
It’s baffling (not to mention rude and unprofessional)
Why is that??
Time is not an excuse. People have just gotten so complacent and blaze with it.?
So how do you cut through?
I think it’s time to flip the switch.?
If you want to get noticed by potential clients or partners then you need to do something different.?
This is where good old fashionable mail comes into play. Yes the kind that requires a stamp (remember those?)
Imagine getting something that isn’t a bill in the mail. How exciting is that?

Now I’m NOT talking about a sales brochure or catalogue. Not at all!!?
What I’m talking about is more effective than the Facebook post that 2 people saw. It’s more engaging than the cute image you put on Insta.
Why does it work?
Yeh, it takes more time and effort to ideate and create. But it’s worth it… even if you don’t get an initial response.
So before you fire off another email to a prospect, think about how you can REALLY stand out and get noticed.
