Dozens of fresh brands aim to redefine the face of the industry.

It’s been described by some as an “era,” a “changing of the guard,” or more diplomatically “new energy,” reflective of a post-COVID-19 America where independent, creative thinkers are, “juiced up with the tenacity to be more of a hustler. There’s a mentality of all engines turned on,” said newly minted CFDA accessories designer of the year Raul Lopez, founder of Luar.

Shiseido’s Masahiko Uotani Has Revealed His Succession Plans

The CEO of Japan's largest cosmetics company announced a succession plan that will see the elevation of Kentaro Fujiwara to president and chief operating officer.

His elevation to become Uotani’s apparent successor is perhaps an indication of where Shiseido sees its future: China.

For “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” lead hairstylist Camille Friend spares no effort in her mission to spotlight Black beauty in all of its forms. This time, she’s partnered with natural hair care brands My Black Is Beautiful and Gold Series to amplify her mission.

“I don’t have any superhero powers, but I know I’m a superhero because it’s how I walk — it’s how I talk and what I bring forth,” said Friend, for whom the most meaningful impact of “Black Panther” was showing Black people, through all the film’s world-building, futuristic wonders and depictions of Black excellence, that they can break free of limitations placed upon them by others.?

I went to grade school with this designer - Thom Browne. It’s so cool to see how successful he has become! And I love that he did the shoot for this campaign where he went to college at Notre Dame!!
