You must first be selected in the Youth Mobility Scheme Ballot if you are applying for the scheme from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan. Every year in January and July, the ballot is opened for voting. The majority of applications are chosen in January, with the remainder in July. Each ballot is valid for 48 hours. In order to be considered, applicants must send an email during this time period.
It is required that you write your email in English. Your email's subject line must include your name, birth date, and passport number. Your name, date of birth, passport number, and mobile phone number must all be included in the email's body.
If you were chosen for the Youth Mobility scheme through the ballot, you would receive an email. You will have 30 days from the time you receive your mail to submit your application and pay the fees. After you've paid, you'll have 90 days to schedule an appointment at a visa application centre near you. You'll have to supply your biometric data in the form of fingerprints and a photograph of yourself at the application centre. After your appointment, you will receive a decision on your visa within 30 days. You will have 90 days to enter the UK if your application is approved. You'll need to ask for an extension if you can't come to the UK within 90 days.
If you are unsuccessful, you will receive an email notification within two weeks of the ballot ends. If you still meet the eligibility conditions when the next ballot opens, you will be eligible to apply.
