Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid

I had the privilege of instructing 27 school administrators, teachers, therapists, school counselors, and other professionals working with children, in Youth Mental Health First Aid. We spent 8 hours this past Saturday learning how identify youth struggling with mental health issues, how to effectively communicate with them, keep them safe during their difficulties, and provide them and their family members with support services in their respective communities. I thank our local Mental Wellness Center for the opportunity to be of service to individuals in Santa Barbara County!
