Youth Mental Health First Aid
I am proud to share that Integral Care is collaborating with Travis County, the City of Austin, and Austin Public Health to provide the Austin, Travis County community with free Youth Mental Health First Aid training. Depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts impact too many young people in our community, but there’s hope. Adults can all take steps to help youth who are struggling. I encourage everyone to take the free Youth Mental Health First Aid training. Find training dates and register here?
Thanks to Travis County Judge Andy Brown, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, Austin City Council Member Jose Velasquez, and Jen Samp from Austin Public Health who joined me on July 17th for a demonstration event to kick off our public awareness campaign for this training.??
I also want to appreciate the 400 PayPal employees who came together for #PayPalImpactDay. The team assembled 5,000 hygiene kits for the Integral Care Homeless Outreach Street Team (HOST) program. Kits were filled with items sourced from local Austin businesses and will be distributed to individuals experiencing homelessness. This event was a collaboration between PayPal, the City of Austin, and United Way Austin. The HOST program has engaged almost 1,500 unique individuals in over 3,000 successful interventions and served over 10,000 people experiencing homelessness in Austin since its inception.?
I am grateful for our community of collaborators who support the Integral Care vision of Healthy Living for Everyone.??
Finally, I want to remind everyone that we have a Community Budget Forum coming up on July 31st at 12 p.m. Join me for a virtual update on Integral Care’s FY25 Budget. You can register here: https://buff.ly/3VTXE7T?
