Vanessa's Journey:

Vanessa's story begins with a quest for English proficiency in Ireland. Little did she know that this move would become a pivotal chapter in her life. Amid the challenges of the pandemic, Vanessa seized the opportunity to open her own business, offering her newfound freedom and flexibility to connect with family back in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The journey was full of ups and downs, navigating the complexities of language barriers, an unfamiliar societal culture, and the crushing doubts of those who didn't believe in her.

Bold Decision and Entrepreneurial Leap:

After the pandemic had struck in 2021, Vanessa recognized an opportunity to not only build a business but redefine her role in the industry.

Her employer decided to bring in contractors to manage the overwhelming workloads, but unfortunately, their performance was below par. She found herself having to redo the work they performed to meet the required standards.

Vanessa realized she was being compensated less for doing a better job... enough was enough.

Valoy Automation was born - soon to be a leading provider of robot programming and machine efficiency services but at this point only an idea.

The hope was her boss would let her work part-time while building her dream. She proposed her idea to her boss, who laughed in her face... "You're crazy," he said to her. "This will never work out for you."

She had to make a decision. Continue with a company that was holding her back or take a leap of faith.

"Opening the business wasn't the hard part... it was the fear to make the jump."

Facing skepticism from her boss, Vanessa's determination prevailed. She overcame both internal and external doubts. Eventually, she left her former company to pursue her entrepreneurial vision full-time. For her, it was a choice that made all the difference.

Vanessa's journey serves as a testament to the transformative power of taking calculated risks and believing in oneself.

Empowering Women in Automation:

Vanessa is an advocate for gender equality in her field and wants to use her platform to empower women in automation. She aims to share valuable insights and advice for women considering entrepreneurship or pursuing a career in automation.

It's been a goal of hers to encourage women to embrace their passions, challenge stereotypes, and find supportive work environments that foster growth.

"If you're a woman getting into this field, fight back against the status quo. Be yourself in robotics, automation, and manufacturing - Just be yourself. Period."
