Julie Meyer (Founder at EntrepreneurCountry, Global and Managing Partner at Ariadne Capital Entrepreneurs Fund) has 117,000 Linked In followers so her opinion clearly counts for something!
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Julie about how to write a great online profile. The film was commissioned by Linked In, in order to help members get the most out of the platform.
It's only 1 min 17 secs - but in case you don't have time to watch the film right now here's a few key pieces of advice from Julie.
Me: What skills are key to building your personal brand online?
Julie Meyer: In terms of building my personal brand I want people to really understand who I am. Your presence online needs to reflect who you genuinely are.
Me: What are your tips for getting your voice heard online?
JM: Building your profile means building connections and building engagement and having impact. Just be yourself but be a generous self.
Me: How do you use your network professionally?
JM: Focus on other people (and) what you can bring to them… Your impact on the world grows as a result of using Linked In, and so it’s not just an investment of time but there’s this massive ROI that comes back to you.
Thanks for reading/watching, I hope you got something useful for yourself.
