Your(Owners) responsibility during Fuel filling or refueling of vehicle

1.??????Ensure vehicle is parked in desired space (if yellow lines any) and Park brake is engaged.

2.??????Turn off the IGNITION Key, to have better fuel results after fuel filling (refer user manual from manufacturer).

3.??????Get down and inform Service personal about fuel type (with welcome note :) ) & Reconfirm it (acknowledgement from him – since human errors due to long work hours or due to stress, etc, ..service personal may go for assumption)

4.??????Ask service person to check fuel lid of vehicle to confirm the fuel type i.e petrol or diesel.

5.??????Inform about fuel type in detail, if petrol or diesel – normal or turbo..

6.??????Note ZERO value prior to fuel refilling.

7.??????If you opt for specific value eg: 20 liters; check once in the fuel station/pump display.

8.??????If you opt for tank full; never ever opt for TOP-UP(this case where a person try to add fuel in vehicle more that specified value forcefully – either by shaking the vehicle or by other means)

9.??????TOP-UP may cause a catastrophe if in extreme weather conditions.(eg : fuel tank explosion or breakage due to expansion of fuel in fuel tank – vacuum space is must in fuel tank).

10.??After fuel filling, ensure cap is closed properly and handled with Normal operation for long life.

11.??Billing – it is good practice to get bill along with vehicle details for future reference; eg: to check mileage of vehicle and type of fuel is used, fuel density w.r.t various fuel pumps.

12.??Ensure fuel Indication in Instrument cluster after IGNITION Key ON.

13.??If you are keen in vehicle mileage; it is good practice to check DTE – Distance to Empty value.

14.??If you are frequent traveler in specific route, then look for COCO (company owned and Company operated fuel stations) – assures guaranteed fuel (density) and with rest space with amenities.

15.??Prefer Fuel Station/Pump, if different lanes are maintained for Petrol and Diesel vehicles so that there is less chance of Mixing fuel i.e re-filling Petrol vehicle with diesel or vise-versa.
