You’re on the Wrong Side
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” Mark Twain
Look around your industry right now. What are most doing? How are they marketing? Pricing services? Fulfilling their work?
Now, look at your own business. Are you in the thick of how all the others are doing things or are you on the edges and standing apart?
The Free Estimate Example
Fact: Most contractors give free estimates
Fact: Most contractors spend way too much time running around ‘busy’ and not making enough money.
Some of the strongest contracting businesses I know have stopped going out for free estimates. Instead, they have a real and honest conversation on the phone and put the prospect on their system.
They do the opposite of what the majority does and charge for estimates.
The results are 50–60% less time running around for free and much more profit in their pocket.
Don’t Blindly Follow
Before you jump on the bandwagon and do the things the majority does, ask yourself, “What are their results?”
Don’t check your brain at the door and be a sheep.
Be a lion and transform your business.
