You're wasting your time

I hate feeling that I've wasted my time - and worse if I've waste other people's time too...Is it just me who gets the Scottish accented ear-worm of Private Frazer in Dad's Army saying "You're wasting your time!"? Then why do so many businesses do fabulous work raising money for charity but spend next to no time thinking about who they give it to and whether they are really engaging their employees with the chosen charity? A quick trawl round the office for ideas then a vote for the charity of the year - and the winning charity is inevitably a brand name bearing little or no relationship to the business and what affects most employees' lives.
