If You're Struggling to Get Leads Right Now, Read This (4 Immediate Solutions)

Over the last month, I’ve given 8 different keynotes, and one thing is abundantly clear as I meet with these audience members:
Companies need more leads.
And they need them now.
It doesn’t seem to matter the industry, or whether it’s B2B or B2C, the period we’re going through right now is the worst for new business I’ve seen since 2009.
Certainly at no time in my speaking career (which started circa 2011) have I had so many audience members tell me they are struggling, fighting for every deal.
So the question, of course, is how can you generate more leads NOW??
Not later.
NOW.
Not in one month.
NOW.
Well, you have solutions.
But you can’t be passive.
Let me suggest 4 ways to generate more leads right now:?
1. One-to-One Outreach of Old Leads
This one isn’t sexy, but it works.
Go into your database, take a look at your previous leads, and reach out to each.
The more individual the outreach, the better it is.
Focus on the problem you can solve for them (be very specific) and give a clear sense of urgency (fear of missing out) that motivates them to consider moving now.
And btw, if you have product or inventory that is crushing your business with interest payments, DUMP it. Don’t sit around and hope things will magically get better. Chances are, your competitors are dealing with the same thing, which means the market may be flooded with “good deals.” So do what you have to do to stop paying interest on stale product/inventory.
And remember, when you’re reaching out to these companies, the nuance in your communication matters.
Write perfect subject lines.
Be concise, make it feel human, and bring value.
Yes, this should be obvious, but it’s not the norm.
2.?? IMMEDIATELY Put a Pricing Estimator Tool on Your Website
You’ve heard me beat this drum, and I will continue for the foreseeable future.
Pricing Estimator tools are literally the most powerful CRO (conversion rate optimization) tool in the world right now.
I’m serious, nothing is close.

Was is a self-assessment tool?
It’s any tool that allows you to get a “score” or “grade” (etc.) to give you a gauge as to where you are in your buyer’s journey.
For example, as a pool guy, I could create a tool that said, “Should I get a Swimming Pool? (Take this quiz to get an honest assessment)
Or let’s say I was a marketing agency, I could create a self-assessment tool that said, “Is HubSpot Right for my Business? (Get an Immediate Score)
The key to these tools is that they need to be unbiased, honest, and truly helpful.

4.?? Paid Ads
The final and most obvious way you can get more immediate leads is with Paid Ads. The issue I see with ads, though, is that many businesses have had bad experiences with them in the past and, because of that, refuse to use them in the future.
Do not make this mistake.
For the high majority of companies I’m meeting with, Facebook Ads and Google Ads continue to be the most effective for lead generation. Despite how much I teach about creating content with They Ask, You Answer, I believe in paid, so long as you test, iterate, and track the revenue it’s bringing your business. Although there are certainly more ways to get immediate leads, these are the four I'd focus on today if I was struggling to drum up enough business.
When times are tough, you won't get extraordinary results by doing what everyone else is doing in your space.
Most people in your space don't follow up with leads on a one-to-one level well.
Almost none in your space have a pricing estimator or self-assessment tool on their website.
And although many are doing paid, most aren't doing it as well as they could be.
So let's get to work, friends.

1 个月Marcus, what is up with the all of a sudden marketing jackels everytime i run an add? I have more calls from “scammers/ Advertising companies than anything else? Could you please advise? This is getting very annoying when your getting 30 calls a day from these people and not clients or potential clients! It has never been this bad for us!
