You're remote, but are you connected?

We must ensure the social connection of employees always encourages a boost in morale.?

When we took the great step to move operations remotely, we likewise took many great and poor habits of the physical office with us.?

Many fear letting go of their physical office because they claim staff morale will decrease due to a lack of a strong social connection.

This erroneous idea that social connection decreases is often due to a lack of understanding of how management can continue building morale with employees.?

There are numerous activities and instances in which social connection is indeed increased via moving operations. How so??

Here are a few to start:

  • Virtual team-building activities globally (BPO's in particular staff talent globally, and everyone is part of that team)
  • Activities that encourage and challenge growth, such as virtual courses to sharpen skills. Make it fun for the virtual team and honor success.?

  • Online chat connections keep everyone connected via internal chat, video calls, and meeting rooms. Bring motivation to those channels daily.?
  • Informal video hangouts. Sometimes the team needs their own space where they can bond, share ideas, challenge each other, and really connect.?

You're not losing social connections with remote operational implementation.?

Remote offices have a myriad of morale-boosting activities to keep your team motivated daily.?

We challenge you to keep reading weekly. Comb over statistics on how positively moving to a remote business model can benefit (even if in part).
