You're not as important as you think you are

How important would you say you are?

To the immediate people in your life – friends; family; colleagues – I’m sure you’re indispensable. But let’s widen that a little and think about your target audience; the sort of people you write content for and sell to.

When they see your name next to a blog post or webinar, does it compel them to click?

“No” is the likely answer, but that’s not your fault; most people are in the same boat. The chances are your content is great, and yet getting people to take an interest in it can be maddeningly frustrating. To the wider world, you’re just another voice in the crowd.

How do you get people to sit up and take notice? How do you convince them that what you have to say is important? Well, you could devote years to trying to establish thought leadership and build up an audience….

...or you could take a shortcut and tap into the existing audience of an industry influencer. Blogging outreach and influencer services are one of the ways in which I help brands tap into a wider audience. Platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and YouTube are also populated by influencers who can help spread your message.

To their army of followers, their word carries weight. Influencers are the gatekeepers who possess the power to take your message and amplify it far and wide. Influencers are so-named for a reason. Enlist the services of one of these VIPs and suddenly your content stands a fighting chance of being seen.
