The Sunday Stomach Ache. I don’t even have to say much for you to know exactly what I’m referring to, do I??
We’ve all had that Sunday stomach ache at one point in our careers.
If you currently have a job, it’s that feeling of dread that unfurls itself on Sunday morning when you wake up and gets progressively worse throughout the day, because you dread the impending workday and are already thinking of when the workweek ends.
If you currently don't have a job but you’re in the throes of job search fatigue, it’s also that feeling of dread but it's magnified because you start to question your life choices, you lose your self-confidence and you feel like you’re sinking deeper and deeper into a pit of despair and it feels like there’s no way out.? What’s worse is that your innards roil with stress and panic every time you look at your bank account balance because you’re running out of money and you’re running out of time.
Your body is letting you know when it's time for a shift, and that stomach ache is basically your body whispering, "Get yourself out of this situation. You deserve better!"?
Deep down, you know that it's time for an exit strategy, and if your Sunday stomach ache has become a weekly ritual, your inner self is screaming for a change.?
Life is too short for cheap toilet paper, bad food and a job that drains your soul or a job search that’s going nowhere.??
Complacency is a killer, and it's time to end the Sunday stomach aches and plan your exit strategy.?

If you still have a job, it doesn’t mean you have to leave your current job now. I’m saying that you need to at least start exploring the incredible world of possibilities waiting for you beyond your current job situation so that you can step away and escape before things get out of hand.
If you don’t have a job and your Sunday stomach aches have gotten worse over time, it’s time to get expert help because chances are, your current job search strategy isn’t working, and you're going to have way more problems than a case of the Sunday stomach ache if you keep struggling on your own.
Until next time, remember that you're destined for greatness, not gastritis. If you need free job search and career success resources, I’ve got them on my website at www.careercoachdezzi.com. The most recent one I've uploaded, "101 Ways To Land Your Job Faster" gives you an overview of the things you should do beyond just applying to job posts.
And if you’d like to schedule a free initial consultation, grab a timeslot on my calendar at www.careercoachdezzi.com.? Your stomach will thank you, and so will your sanity.
Till next time, job search smarter, not harder. Job searching is a marathon, not a sprint and career success starts with a strategic plan.
