Let me tell you something…
Embarking on a journey of entrepreneurship can be amazing!
After all, there are no limits to what you can do in terms of creating a brilliant lifestyle and the income you desire.
But early on, things can be difficult.
Why?
It’s because we get very little validation.
Think about it this way.
When you’re part of an organization, you have a boss that can give you a performance review…
You can chase the next pay raise…
Colleagues can show their appreciation…
External validation is something we're brought up to believe from an early age. Even the school system is built around this, particularly in terms of grades.
But in the world of entrepreneurship, we don't get as much outside validation.
This can be a dangerous thing.
Why?
You see, lack of validation can lead you to compare how you feel about your business to how others view your business.
It’s as if you’re comparing your perception with theirs.
But the truth is…
You're often just comparing yourself and your business with smoke and mirrors!
After all, everyone can appear successful on social media. It’s even easy for anyone to put up a facade these days.
That's why I know many of these comparisons can be unhealthy for you and your business.
My point?
When you're in business, external measures of value and self-worth might not show up.

And they might not even exist in a way you were used to.
After all, no one can tell you when to raise your prices…
Earn more…
Reach new people…
These are decisions you have to make yourself!
But you can't reach that point if you keep waiting for external validation.
That’s why if you want to be truly successful… you have to develop your own sense of value.
And if you need proof, know that many studies have linked the amount of a business owner’s self-worth to net worth - there are direct correlations, in fact.
Ultimately, growing a great business depends on your ability to build up your self-worth, not the external validations you get.
Since your self-worth is a core element of financial success…
Make sure you develop it!
Warmly,
Vanessa
