You're Broke Because Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock...
Ayodeji Awosika
I help client-based business owners sell 4-5 figure offers using the ‘write, chat, sell’ method.
Will Smith slapped Chris Rock and the internet, rightfully, went bananas.
I gawked...
I laughed at the memes...
I have an opinion about what went down...
But after a couple of minutes of reading the tea leaves, I just got back to work.
Contrast this with others.
Some people wasted *hours* debating people on Facebook about what happened.
Some are *still* talking about it days after it happened.
What I noticed most is how much effort some people put into analyzing the lives of people they don't even know.
This isn't just about Will and Chris...
It's about people who know every intimate detail about their favorite sports team...
It's about people who obsess over the lives of celebrities...
It's about people who can name every character, kingdom, and territory on Game of Thrones
There's nothing wrong with entertainment & pop culture. I watch T.V., movies, and sports.
Some celebrity gossip is enticing and I fall into it, too.

But...I also don't have a job
I have a money-making machine that works for me 24/7...
I can afford to waste time. Can you?
When I was dead broke and looking to make a living as a writer, I stopped watching T.V. altogether.
I quit drinking. If it wasn't about building my writing career, I didn't pay any attention to it.
I had to focus every ounce of energy and attention on the task at hand.
Things like creating content people love and making money online take singular focus bordering on obsession.
Like Grant Cardone said in the title of his book "Be obsessed or be average."
Most people are obsessed...
With the absolute wrong things.
If you want to make it, seriously make it, you have to dramatically reduce the time you spent living vicariously through others, distracting yourself with entertainment, and paying attention to anything that doesn't help you move closer to your goals.
Center your focus and cut out these distractions like a malignant tumor.
Not forever, but long enough to get your projects off the ground.
Netflix will still be there when you're done.
This is the only way to make it...
