You're already still. Slow your breath in the bath.

Sunday is long bath day for me. I normally take a book or podcast with me in the bath, but I try to carve 3 minutes to just regulate my breathe. Sometimes I anchor my breathe to the rhythm of music and just focus my gaze or close my eyes and imagine that breath reaching the back of my head, melting the stress behind my eyes, in my jaw.
Notice where you are gathering tension and let your breath melt that tension like butter. Exhale that stress and feel the lightness behind your eyes. It's an amazing feeling. If you are having a hard time slowing your breath, try tapping -- tap your finger to the right of the eye, under the eye, under your nose, on your chin, on your collarbone, the crease of your armpit then finish on the top of your head. It's amazing how that focused rhythmic movement calms the nervous system.
Cancer awareness day is this week, so this meditation doubles as an intention to break up the stress that causes disease in our bodies. Give yourself the gift of breath.
