Writing is a profitable craft, and being an author or a writer is one great way to multiply your income. I have been an author since 2014 and I’m still enjoying the benefits of writing articles and publishing books.

So, back to my question:

Is your writing getting the attention it deserves? Are you profiting from your craft?

Understand that you are first and foremost the major promoter of your book or work. The best way to get into people’s faces is to write. Here's what you should do this week:

1. Optimize your social media presence by writing regularly.

I know you have a very busy schedule, but create an hour today to write at least three posts this week. You can write them all at once and schedule them for later, so that even when you are not online, the post can still go out. A consistent social media presence helps you connect with more readers.

2. Make your content richer. With daily activities and experiences, you can never run out of things to write about.

How was your weekend? Did you have any experiences or lessons you’d like to share? Look well; there must be something. You see, you can draw inferences or inspiration from the activities around you to create content. For example, the AFCON finals just ended, so it is still trending. You can creatively write content about it and engage your readers.

It is better to write something than to write nothing. Hold on to and implement these two until I write you again.
