Your Work Expands!!

Your Work Expands!!

Parkinson's law is the adage that "work expands so as to fill the time which is available for its completion".

This means that people will often take longer than necessary to complete tasks, even if they could have completed them in less time.

For example, if someone has a week to complete a task, they should only need one day to finish it, but instead, they may end up taking two days because they are trying to complete it as quickly as possible.

This has important implications for productivity and predicting behavior.
